Cure times of thermosetting resins can be reduced 30-fold using microwave heating rather than ovens or presses dependent on thermal conductivity. Microwave-transparent dies that do not absorb significant quantities of energy are required. Curing condition and times are compared for epoxies, polyesters, and polyurethanes. -- AATA
