Abstract
This guide for the non-specialist includes retrieval of bones in the field, cleaning, mending, consolidation, marking, and storage. It is recommended that the temperature and humidity in storage areas remain constant as fluctuations can cause cracking and other damage. The author gives basic information regarding these steps and suggests a lay-out for a bone processing room. -- AATA
