Abstract
Stable carbon isotope analysis of archaeological human bone collagen is becoming increasingly useful in diet reconstructions. This paper describes, for archaeologists, the techniques that are useful in carrying out such analyses, and discusses the requirements for measurement accuracy and inter-laboratory calibration.
