Dangers associated with photo processing are discussed. While workers with black and white generally need only to take special care with the few metal compounds used in toning or intensification, persons doing color processing and photo conservation are subjected to a variety of hazards. Mentioned particularly, in addition to the metallic compounds, are organic solvents such as cellosolve, methyl cellosolve, cellosolve acetate, tolune, xylol, trichloroethylene and ethylene oxide.
