When more complicated molds for plaster casts are made, normally joints are necessary. The copy shows marks where the joints are, which have to be removed. To avoid the joints, a new technique has been worked out. Strips of a very thin foil are introduced vertically to the surface of the object. When the silicon rubber has consolidated, it can be removed just by unfolding it.
