The so-called Kunstharzputze, i.e., textured coatings between paint and plaster, comprise polymeric dispersions (e.g. acrylates, vinyl acetates, poly(vinyl propionates) ), pigments, fillers, thickeners and other additives; as such they are distinct from mineral coatings based on inorganic binders. Supplied in paste form, they are suitabIe for brush, roller or spray application. They combine the advantages of rapid drying with superior durability, washability and mechanical and chemical resistance. Their suitability for various interior substrates is indicated and test methods are specifled. -- AATA
