Abstract
Describes the restoration of the Norra Ljunga church (Sweden) after it was damaged by fire. The Romanesque church contained fragments of mural paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Parts of the fumiture were painted in the 18th century by Pehr Höberg; discussed are the aesthetic and practical problems in connection with such a restoration.
