To prepare a variety of coatings containing chemically-bound fungicides, the vinyl monomers of four fungicides were synthesized and incorporated into polymers and latices. The fungicides were pentachlorophenol, 1, 8-hydroxyquinoline 2, 3, 4; 5-tribromosalicylanilide, 3, and o-benzyl-p-chlorophenol, 4. The synthetic details are presented. -- AATA
