Discussion of certain factors in the final interpretation of experimental readings takes into consideration the limits of validity of modern standards and the representative qualities of analyzed samples. Physicists tend to give more attention to matters of methodology in quantitative determinations by XRF methods. The problem is exemplified by silver-copper-alloys.
