Abstract
In a conventional bulb, incandescent filaments emit 90% heat, 10% light. For more light, the filament must be heated more, requiring higher wattage consumption. In a low-energy bulb, an invisible coating on the bulb will allow light to pass through, while reflecting heat back to the filament, providing the same amount of light with 60% less wattage.
