This booklet describes problems associated with commonly used insecticides, especially the widely used household product, No-Pest Strip insecticide. The U. S. Department of Agriculture has taken the position that directions for use of a pesticide are not adequate to protect the public if any use of it might leave a residual amount of the pesticide on food. A section of this booklet is devoted to water pollution and calls for an improvement in the treatment of microorganisms in sewage and water to prevent an alarming spread of disease.
