Abstract
The migration of hydrogen in nickel is a process controlled by diffusion, in the field of temperatures comprised between 200 and 600 degrees C. A new method was applied, able to be extended to any metal-gas system with respect to the kinetic of hydrogen outflow from samples previously charged with this gas. The validity of the preceding method is confirmed by a standard study of the kinetics of hydrogen entry into nickel samples of different shapes. The study of the kinetics of hydrogen entry into nickel has enabled an activation energy of 0.132 plus/minus 0.010 eV/at. to be calculated for the solubilization of hydrogen in nickel (without hydride formation).
