After several years of study and planning, the Museum has recently opened a conservation laboratory in the Department of Anthropology. This new facility was made possible by generous grants from the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research in New York and the Robert R. McCormick Trust in Chicago. The laboratory, which will be dedicated formally this fall, has been named the Robert R. McCormick Conservation Laboratory.
