Abstract
The treatment of a complete set of scenic wallpaper is described. The condition of 6 panels which have been stored and 14 which have been on continual display is given. Treatment objectives and extenuating conditions which preclude orthodox treatment methods are outlined and the unorthodox treatment which was decided upon is described in detail. Four panels have been mounted experimentally and in the event that this proves unsatisfactory contingency plans have been made. A brief history of the Dufour's Cook Wallpapers and a discussion of the technique of early manufacture of decorative wallpapers is described.
