Abstract

Hoenle's Uvahand 250 hand-held fluorescent lamp was developed for inspecting various textiles for defects. The lamp is capable of very high intensity ultraviolet radiation and fluorescence. The lamp can be used to identify yarn composition and residual chemicals on printed fabric. Textiles are inspected both during and after production for quality control.
