Abstract
FMC Corporation has developed a commercial process that enhances and extends the useful life of paper through deacidification and strengthening. If alternative processes are to be evaluated and compared, a numerical system may be helpful to measure the benefits of treatment programs in extending and enhancing useful life. This article explains the concept.
