First edition of the <i>Art and Architecture Thesaurus</i>, a project, started in 1979, of the Getty Art History Information Program. The work presents, in a faceted hierarchical structure, a standard vocabulary for the field of art and architecture. Two displays are provided: the hierarchical, which includes seven facets (associated concepts, physical attributes, styles and periods, agents, activities, materials, objects), and the alphabetical display including all terms.
