Abstract
The paper discusses the condition, history, cleaning, consolidation, and exhibition procedures involved with a brocaded silk robe. The robe was wet-cleaned, and consolidation was carried out by backing certain areas with crepeline and using pulled crepeline threads for couching and running stitches. The exhibition preparation is then described in detail. See AATA 19-1527.
