Abstract
A brief report given during the fourth meeting of the Conservation Committee, 1975, in Venice noted problems regarding the technique of the painter Lucio Fontana -- that of the buchi (holes). This report studies another aspect of his technique, tagli (cuts). Many conservation problems arise because of the different tensions created in his canvases. Pretreatment research and tests have been carried out.
