Two insulated packing cases containing instrumentation were sent by railway express from the Canadian Conservation Institute in Ottawa to the Pacific Coast and back. The interior of each box was fitted with shock recorders, temperature recorders and a humidity indicator. The author describes the instrumentation and evaluates the resulting data. -- AATA
