Several questions concerning photographic conservation are raised, including: new hot and cold dry-mounting materials for photos; potential good and bad effects of using alkaline-buffered paper in contact with silver-image photos; the pros and cons of eliminating hardener from fixing baths in order to remove hypo more completely; need for a practical print-wash test; evaluation of washing-aid products for black-and-white prints; as well as a comment about a massive duplication of nitrate-base negatives onto Kodak SO-015 film at the American Museum of Natural History. -- AATA
