This article concerns the problems of reinforcement of objects made of wool, velvet, and felt cloth. A new technique is presented which uses thermoadhesive nonwoven materials of the spider-web type; the drawbacks and advantages of such filling techniques as masticage (a mixture of vegetable glue and wool fibers), or the traditional way with needle and thread, or the lining with thermoadhesive materials, are studied. The resistance of silk and wool fibers to variations of temperature is also considered. The article offers some practical examples of restoration work. -- AATA
