The EPA is proposing guidelines for the health assessment of suspect developmental toxicants. Subjects included in this proposal are as follows: conventional developmental toxicology protocols--end points and their interpretation; functional teratology; short-term testing in developmental toxicity; pharmacokinetics; human studies; comparisons of molecular structure; weight-of-evidence determination; dose-response assessment; exposure assessment; and, risk characterization.
