The article describes the research done for urban transformation of the area between San Pio V Museum and the Serranos Towers in Valencia, with the triple aim of : ensuring the conservation of the historical Trinidad and Serranos bridges, which involves eliminating motor traffic over those, whilst preserving the possibility of coming into and getting out of the city from its northern side; boosting the cultural use of the river bed by means of the museum route including Pio V, Turia park, Serranos Tower, the old city and its museums; and integrating the leisure-sports function of the park in a natural manner. The article goes further into the evaluation of criteria and solutions for action, seeking to value the necessary sensation of serenity and dialogue with pre-existence from a present-day cultural standpoint.
