The study sets out to define the proper color of the outdoor facades of Nuestra Senora de los Angeles Monastery in Valencia, in order to establish the most appropriate chromatic guidelines for its restoration. This is done by making a visual analysis of the remains of pigmentation found, measuring their chromatic parameters with specific instruments, performing a statistical assessment of the information compiled and making a physical formalization of the color cards in standard notation. The statistical study of the samples of pigment found in the concrete window skirting frames shows that, in spite of their apparent deterioration, there is little dispersion of their chromatic parameters. It is therefore acceptable to obtain the average of Munsell 2YR 4/ 3 (CIE Lab*=41,53/ 12,65/ 12,21) color. Using all this data, and taking necessary margin into account for the technician in charge to be able to reconcile the color with other variables coming up in the project, a number of chromatic families from the range of reds are proposed, in order to work on the ornamental items of the façade. Other chromatic measures and the elimination of inappropriate paints are recommended.
