The great boom as regards to the organization of temporary exhibitions currently being seen has meant that preventive conservation is the first subject to be taken into account. A lot of damage is done to objects in the process of handling, packing and transport; works of art are not as stable as they may seem and for that reason it is vitally important to establish a protocol for action prior to handling them. The aim of this study is to display the process for handling a work or art at the time when its transport, packing and later set-up are being decided on, and the risks that this process entails if it is not performed according to established criteria and by professionals specializing in handling these works.
