Past and present terminology are set out as a table with three columns; name prior to the 1800's, name during the 1800's, and contemporary name-chemical formula-other relevant data. This table goes from acetons salts (name prior to 1800's) to Heat, Latent, or Matter of Heat (name prior to 1800's).
