Addition of different fungicides to poly(vinyl acetate) to protect it from fungi attack is investigated. Color does not change, but viscosity and pH do. Accelerated aging and ultraviolet irradiation tests show no variation in the resistance of the protected resin. The best fungicide is ammonium dimethyl lauryl benzyl bromide.
