Abstract
The author visited China in 1978 with a group whose purpose was to study current trends in conservation and restoration, to view workshops, and to meet with conservators. Some conservation techniques used, both traditional and modern, are briefly summarized as applied to scrolls and manuscripts, metal objects, ceramics, wood and lacquer. See AATA 17-93.
