The first phase of a comprehensive program for improving fire detection, alarming, and extinguishing on this estate involved the installation of a smoke detection/Halon 1301 fire suppression system for the Mansion. Damage to the building fabric was prevented and visual intrusion minimized by careful planning and use of specially designed detectors.
