Abstract
The effects of natural consolidants (shellac, dammara, beeswax) and of solutions of synthetic polymers (epoxy resins, polyester resins, acrylics) on properties of treated wood are examined. Polymerization of methylmethacrylate and butylmethacrylate in situ initiated by peroxide (BPO), redox system, and gamma radiation were also discussed.
