Abstract
This paper reports on the current stage of experiments in alternative in-gilding techniques, undertaken as PhD research, with the University of Western Sydney Nepean. Initial tests included RhoplexAC33, RhoplexN580, PlextolB500, Liquitex Matte Medium, ParaloidB-72, PVA-AYAF, Regalrez1094 and Aquazol500. At the second stage, materials that attained the best results were further investigated with regard to their concentration in the solutions and methods of activating dried films. The most promising results were achieved using acrylic dispersion PlextolB500. -- SCMRE
