Abstract
The relationship between physical properties and composition of CaO-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>-SiO<sub>2</sub>-glasses is a non-linear one. Consequently it is not possible to find increments for this properties on basis of the composition of oxides which are suited for whole glass forming region of system. Cluster analysis was used decomposing glass forming region into subsystems. Resulting total amount of 98 glasses was divided into five classes which are situated in certain areas of the composition diagram.
