Abstract
Six petrographic clusters were defined after a series of analyses were carried out on carefully selected samples taken from a large group of closed, hand molded vases already subdivided into four classes. When compared to the geological composition of the outcrops surrounding the Saint-Tropez Bay area, the material analyzed seems to have a diversified origin. One seems to have an allochthonous provenance. These observations may allow inferences to be drawn about modalities of land occupation. -- AATA
