Abstract
From an excavation of 5th-6th century tombs in southwestern Germany, remains of wood from tools and weapons were analyzed microscopically. From 38 finds, 31 could be determined in respect to types of wood which were identified as oak, beech, ash, alder, apple, pear, willow, maple, and birch. -- AATA
