Abstract
The addition of Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> to system CaO-TiO<sub>2</sub>-B<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> increases glass forming region that fusion with up to 40 mole-per thousand TiO<sub>2</sub> resp., 65 mole-per thousand CaO still solidify vitreously. he crystallization of glasses will be changed to higher temperatures by an Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>-addition. First above Calcium metaborate crystallizes from glasses with a lower TiO<sub>2</sub> content, whereas from high Titanium containing glasses principal Calcium titanate beside Rutile is separated and crystallization of borate phases could be suppressed.
