Abstract
The two late Gothic chausubles are property of the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Budapest, and were restored in 1974. The embroidered presentments on the velvet-based chausubles were done in high relief and these parts were the most damaged. The author describes the stages of restoration, the taking apart and the cleaning of the different pieces. The restoration of the figurals posed the greatest problems. The missing pearls were replaced. The separate figures were taken off and restored.
