Abstract
After three years of experimenting with various lighting systems (see 66), a system was finally chosen for installation in approximately 30 gallaries at the Metropolitian Museum of Art, (N.Y). Using skylights, with a blend of fluorescent and incandescent bulbs, for a color temperature of 4,500° K, a smooth transition from sunlight to nighttime artificial light, was effected. Diagrams are included to illustrate the installation.
