Abstract
Examines attempts to conserve wooden objects from archaeological excavations in the Romanian town of Hirsova, Constanta. The objects were a wooden comb, a fragment of comb, two heads of Medusa, and wooden piece depicting the legend of Leda and the stock. The consolidation and stabilization work of specialists. Using polyethylene Glycols (PEGS) is described. Other organic and inorganic objects, textiles, in leather, pottery etc. were also found in the crypt of a wall belonging to a recent roman necropolis. -- ICCROM
