Siliceous-body Pharonic blue ceramics (Egyptian faience) were reproduced using an ancient self-glazing technique. Gives history of Egyptian blue glazes, when they were used, and the technique of making them. Gives a chemical analysis of the glazes and body of Egyptian faience. -- AATA
