The intervention performed in the Mestre Pena House was guided by three objectives. The first has allowed conserving a rich formal, architectural and material heritage present in the six hundred year old building. The second scope concerned the adaptation of the building to an institutional typology, through the elaboration of a new rooftop and the incorporation of modern materials and languages. Finally, the third objective of this project was to implement a museum strategy related to the building, in order to exhibit the Iberic and Roman origins of the city.
