The moisture regain of wool, cotton, and polyester fabrics can be accurately estimated by weighing before and after electric pressuring at 160°C for 30 to 60 seconds. The method is portable and simple to operate, requiring: a) small electric pressure with thermostat and timer, b) optional fabric cutting device, c) three-figure top loading balance. Wool fabrics (up to 390 g/m²) with moisture contents up to 60% are accurate to 0.3% at normal wool regains. -- AATA
