Abstract
Bronze exposed to the direct solar radiation at midday becomes about 15°C warmer than the atmosphere, so that fluctuations in wind speed cause fluctuations in temperature. The thermal inertia of the statue acts as a low-pass filter, so that the turbulence over periods of a few minutes is evident. Letter to the editor. -- AATA
