Abstract
All objects have weight, and this ever-present effect of gravity is one of the prime causes of physical deterioration. The position of display or storage is frequently not the position of intended use, and thus leads to undue stress. The structure of the object and its material are considered in designing a suitable support. Two aspects of support systems include the support for the object itself and the display support, which is designed to interlock with the object's own support. When properly designed, the support undergoes wear and is periodically replaced, but the object will be free of mechanical stress. -- AATA
