Nine bells and nine rings of cuprous alloy and three sets of gold leaf fragments found in controlled excavations of the Tonina ruins, Chiapas, were analyzed by x-ray fluorescence, atomic absorption and metallography. Results are compared with those of similar objects from Monte Alban and the Sacred Cenote at Chichen Itza. The bells and rings are cast copper while the gold leaf is a ternary alloy which is rnade by adding copper to native argentiferous gold. -- AATA
