Abstract
This work consists to show an estimate of thermal comfort design, through the application of passive climatization technologies, in a wood housing in Itapeva, Brazil. The house used was idealized from the building typology “log-home†on, and it will offer physical space to host the Students’ Association and Junior-enterprise, to the course of “Industrial Engineering of Wood†at Experimental Campus of UNESP/Itapeva. This construction was elaborated as from low environmental impact techniques, and its main material used was reforested wood. The construction uses renewable resources as Eucalyptus and specially Pine woods, in the form of lignocellulosic industrial waste, as waste rolls of wood lamination, and other local stuffs. Techniques of bioclimatic architecture, as natural ventilation, passive heating and passive cooling were applied to provide thermal comfort to the users with a low energy expenditure. From environmental parameters on, as the internal and external temperature of air, it was elaborated an evaluation instrument of the housing in question, which it will serve of a basis to indicate the use conditions during the winter and the summer.
