Abstract
The aim of the respective investigations was to determine the influence of selected aminic resins on the quality of lignomer produced in accordance with Poznan technology of production of the wood-polymer composites. Alder wood and etherfied melamino- formaldehyde resins (Melasil K-1 and Melaform WM-100) and urea- formaldehyde (Antimnol WMS) resins made by the Kedzierzyn Nitrogen Works were used. Resins were applied alone or by two in mutual connection at the weight ratio 1:1. As a catalyzer 25per thousand-ual solution of sulphuric acid in butyl alcohol in the amount of 2.5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of resin. Among the aminic resins applied in the experiments, most suitable for the lignomer production appeared to be etherified melamino- formaldehyde resins: Melasil K-1 and Melaform WM-100. Least suitable for this purpose was etherfied urea-formaldehyde resin Antimnol WMS. Lignomer produced on the basis of aminic resins should be applied, first of all, in structures not exposed to growing humidity.
