Abstract
Semi-volatile organic compound (SVOC) is contained in various building materials as plasticizers and flame retardants and the negative effects for the human body. Phthalate ester and Phosphor ester belong to SVOC, there are contained in indoor environment. SVOC tend to adhere to house dust. Therefore, it was investigated on the concentration of SVOC in house dust of Japan and Korea and calculated about DEHP-ingestion of infants through oral intake of house dust. All investigated house dusts of Korea were higher concentration of DEHP in house dust than the 50 Percentile in Germany. Some house dusts of Korea were showed higher than the 95 Percentile in Germany. The investigated house dusts of Japan were showed lower concentration of DEHP in house dust than 95 Percentile in Germany and some house dusts were lower than 50 Percentile in Germany. DEHP intake of infants through oral intake of dust was showed. Some house dusts of Korea were higher than Rfd (reference does:20?g/Kg/day) in U.S.EPA , also several dusts were higher than TDI(37?g/Kg/day) in EU(CSTEE). But all investigated house dusts of Japan were lower than both Rfd and TDI(Tolerable Daily intake).
