Abstract
Some ten potsherds were analyzed with respect to the content of Fe<sub>III</sub>, CaO and MgO. The content of P<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub> and of fat residues was also determined. There exists a correlation between P<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub> content and the sort of fat identified. The presence or absence of cholesterol is indicative for animal or plant fat. -- AATA
