Abstract
This article describes various tests conducted on various objects brought from Nuzi in Iraq by the Harvard-Baghdad School Expedition. Included were several copper door studding nails. They had been buried for nearly 3500 years under 130 cm. of stiff, damp clay soil. Many duplicates were available and as they were not considered of artistic interest, it was thought desirable to make use of several of them (1) to study the products of mineralization, (2) to study the results of electrolytic restoration, and (3) to check the relation between radiographs and the actual amount of metallic core remaining.
